Controls Quick Reference

A complete reference card for every keyboard shortcut, mouse gesture, and game control in GeoWords.

Actions

Select two or more tiles, then press a key to rearrange the letters. Each action costs coins based on the selection length.

Key	Action	What it does
S	Swap Ends	Swap the first and last letters
R	Reverse	Reverse the entire selection
W	Cycle Forward	Move the last letter to the first position
Q	Cycle Backward	Move the first letter to the last position

Tokens occupy numbered dock slots. Press the slot number to activate.

Key	Token	Effect
1	Magic Swap	Swap any two selected tiles for free (no coin cost)
2	Double Play	Mark a tile for use in two words
3	Triple Play	Mark a tile for use in three words
4	ATM	Instant payout of 25–75 coins

Earned tokens fill the next open slot (keys 5–9, 0).

Shortcut	Action
⌘Z	Undo the last action (refunds coins)
⌘⇧Z	Redo

Select tiles that spell a valid word (3+ letters), then click the Play button in the word bar. There is no keyboard shortcut for playing a word.

All selection is done by clicking and dragging on the hexasphere. Modifier keys change the gesture type.

⌃	First selected tile	Prepend	Extend the selection backward from its start
⌃	Last selected tile	Append	Extend the selection forward from its end
⌃	Middle selected tile	Splice	Insert new tiles into the selection after this tile
⇧	Selected tile	Delete	Remove tiles from the selection by dragging over them
⇧⌃	Any tile	Great Circle	Select an arc of tiles along a great circle
⌥	Any tile	Halo	Select a ring of tiles at a fixed distance from center

Control	What it does
Drag outside hexasphere	Orbit the camera freely
⌥ drag	Orbit even when cursor is over tiles
Scroll wheel / trackpad pinch	Zoom in or out
Home button (camera toolbar)	Reset camera to default position
Rotate button (camera toolbar)	Flip to the opposite side of the hexasphere

Action keys require a selection of 2+ tiles and enough coins.
Token slots are numbered left-to-right in the dock at the bottom of the screen.
Dragging onto an empty (unlettered) tile blocks the gesture for the rest of that drag.
All actions and token activations are undoable. Word plays are permanent.
